Day 22

Today was going to be a short day as far as driving was concerned, we are going to Banff today for a horse trail and a look around the town and some lunch, well it was only a 30 minute drive today which was great and we were at the base of the trail ready to mount up and head on out for a hour ride. It was funny because there was a horse in the coral that was left on his own and he was getting in a right state, walking backwards and kicking another horse because he was missing his buddies. When the previous group got back from their ride we were given our horse each and mounted and started out on our ride. It was funny because Sandy got the one that was still hungry and kept on dipping its head and eating grass, she could not bring him back up. The ride was really good and we were all glad we went for the one hour and not the 2 hour one as all our buts were feeling like they had been kicked. We got some good photos but not sure about the videos because it was a bit bumpy.
After this we went into Banff town for some lunch and the town is lovely, the weather today is great and the sky was blue with almost no clouds. After lunch we then drove to the bas of the Gondola that takes you to the top of the mountain, well this was a friggin rip off, Lorna asked me for some change and I thought she said $6 then she corrected me and asked for $60 I thought it was for all 4 of us and I even thought that was expensive then I found out afterwards that it was for the 2 of us, I mean it takes 8 minutes there is no skiing and we spent about 15 minutes up there before we can back down again.
We was going to go out tonight into Canmore for a meal and thought better of it, we had just spent $122 between us and we realised that we could have had dinner on that, so we ate in again tonight.
